I'll be in Northfield, MN (35 miles south of MSP) on Mon and Tues of next week. Then in Colo Springs, CO on Thursday and Friday. Since running isn't an option at the moment, I'm taking my mountain bike.

Trail recommendations for either would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Bill

In Colorado Springs there's a bunch! Here's a list of the ones I can think of off the top of my head:
- Palmer Park
- Ute Valley
- Stratton Open Space
- Palmer Trail to Section 16
- Cheyenne Mountain State Park
- North Cheyenne Canyon
- Waldo Canyon
- the Santa Fe Trail

Up in Monument there's:
- Mount Herman
- Greenland Ranch

In Woodland Park you can ride around Rampart Range Reservoir. Or if you're really crazy, like my buddy Sean, you can ride up Barr Trail to Barr camp. That's the trail that climbs Pikes Peak...!

TrailCentral.com is a great repository of Colorado MTB trail information. (And, unlike trails.com, it's FREE.)

Some of the trails Ratlaf suggested are detailed here.

Ratlaf, you told me (about a year ago) about a loop trail around Pike's Peak that was under construction. I can't find anything online about that. Do you know what it's called...?
