There is going to be an Orient'show during the 4th leg of the 6 days in Aveyron! For those who dont know, it was invented by some russian guys a few years ago. It's an ultra sprint in semi-artificial terrain, with lots of controls, spectator-friendly. Here is a nice clip from a french event :

However the format will be special for elite runners: first a mass start in the morning for a long distance. Then only the 64 best compete in orientshow pools. There is time penalties (time added to the morning race) depending on when you disqualified: 12' if you dont make one of the 64 places, at least 6' if you dont make the final, 0' for the winner...

The orientshow is a cool format, however I am not sure if mixing both classic and orientshow for the final ranking is a good idea. I am pretty sure some elites will be upset :)
