The IOF has confirmed our request to change the long WRE to the sprint in Fundy National Park. The map was originally drawn in detail at 1:10,000 and with the requirement for a long WRE to be on a 1:15,000 it was felt better to switch gears to designate the sprint rather then edit the map in a major way to make it more legible at 1:15, 000.

is it possible at this time that the organizing comitee will look in to having F35-44 and F17-20 running the same course as F elite at the COC sprint WRE.. have been done before ( in 2006 and -i think 2007 at COC and 2006 at NAOC ).. that will give extra 8-10 ladies with scoring chances, while the ranking could still be done on age categories..i don't know if the middle could have the same approach , but since is a WRE , i think it will be better to have a chance of more ranked athletes ( especially on women side - )... remember Stars WRE did not have enough ranked women. ???

Yes, it will likely be the case for the sprint anyway. We are hoping to have M/F 17-19, 20-34, and 35-44 share the same courses on the sprint (a different course for men and women).

I am not certain what is planned for the middle, but as you say it would likely be helpful to combine classes on the WRE course to enable there to be enough ranked people running (usually more of a problem on the female side rather than the male side).
