Wow, look how much faster you run outside! Yes, one of the things I don't like about the treadmill is that you set your speed unnaturally. When I'm running outside with the FR, I'll see my pace change all the time, and then it averages out to a pretty stable speed on all the miles. The treadmill is good though for speedwork because it forces me to stay at the pace I set.

And the dogs...the worst thing is trying to guess if there actually IS an invisible fence and if it works. A former neighbor had one of those fences, but the dog was regularly spotted outside of it.

Well on the treadmill I have been doing the running sections at 10:00/mile. It's just that I don't seperate out the running and walking when I post those so it looks even slower. But I knew I would be faster outdoors :-)

Getting a Forerunner is one of the things I want to do soon... have to come up with some money. I'm helping list some horses for sale for the barn owner, so if I can manage to sell one I'll get my agent's commission and then I can buy the FR

The FR's are great. There's nothing more frustrating than thinking you ran 5 miles and coming home to map it out and find out it was 2.3 or something like that! With the FR, you do exactly the distance and pace you planned without any cheating. :-) The 2 friends who got one based on my recommendation, both love them and said it really helped them train for their half marathons.
