I have some activities that I never use. How do I remove them? I think I have used up the number of activities available, and would like to add a new one, but that option is not available.

There is no limit to the number of activity types that you can create. "Unspecified" is what happens when you select "new type" but don't enter a name for it. The second time you do this you will get an error (can't create a duplicate type named Unspecified).

Settings > "Edit Log Activity Types" has some options for managing your activity names. You probably just want to go there and change Unspecified to your intended new name. If you are having problems creating types from add-training you can also make new ones on this page.

You can't delete type names that are used. But you can merge them into some other type, e.g. "trail running" > "running" Be careful with that.

Obviously Ken is the expert here but you can't delete if you have activities assigned to an event type (or at all)! As Ken says, just merge some if you don't use them. I've done this with various activities that I've rarely used in the past, usually merging them into one event type called Random Carp - golf, rollerblading and climbing all ended up in here.
