The University of Arizona teams are on our way back to Tucson after a really great weekend of orienteering. From our perspective, COC is a well-oiled machine—there were always easily identified volunteers for every task and need.

We enjoyed the venues and courses, and for most of our crew this was their first major event. Thanks for all the hard work and for giving them a very positive first experience!

I really appreciated:
-Excellent event organization, including the "extras" like jerseys and awards. Ok, that wasn't a surprise since I'm familiar with COC's WIOL-based event capabilities, but it's fun to see how everything has evolved since we were last WA-based.
-Very fun, interesting and different terrain. I still fondly remember Gunta's Name Day celebration (Friday's map), but it was fun to see the evolution of Peteris's work over the years. My courses were a fun challenge.
-Seeing such a wonderful group of young people giving it their all: a robust group of locals; those who traveled across the country and missed school/work; friends old and new; and the best crop of collegiate teams I've ever seen (nice job to all of you doing such impressive recruiting).
-Seeing all the support from everyone who helped make Jr. Nationals happen, whether doing the heavy lifting of putting it on or pulling together groups to travel and participate together. This was a wonderful weekend. Thank you!

Yes, thank you COC, and its many volunteers, for a great weekend of events. The fantastic treeless terrain, with its many wandering cliffs and random sinkholes overlooking the Columbia River, was so rewarding to navigate in. And it was great to see so many young people there - the majority of the 500+ entrants. Thanks, COC - great job well done.

Yes--absolutely top notch. Thank you COC. I go to a lot of NREs, and this one has a spot on my personal "Best of..." list.

You would think this event had been in the planning stages for years, when in fact it was only a few months. I had the same thought as Cristina: the Cascade OC "machine" went to work, and the outcome was truly impressive.

This all bodes well for what was the original COC 2024 NRE focus: the Pacific Northwest Orienteering Festival in June.

Thank you to all the club volunteers, particularly the ones who did the heavy lifting in the lead up to the weekend.

Thank you all for your kind words, they are very much appreciated and have been passed on to the club board and those in the organizing team who aren't on AP. While I don't claim to speak for everyone I do feel confident in saying we're so happy that you all attended (we know it's not an easy trip!) and enjoyed the weekend.
