If you or anyone you know has ever wondered what a "rootstock" is and found yourself looking for a small recently-grafted apple-tree instead of a big tilted stump, Wikipedia needs you.

There was a highly active effort to curate orienteering-related projects on Wikipedia until about a decade ago. However, Wikipedia has now marked this project as "inactive". I encourage existing Wikipedia editors as well as those who are not-yet-editors to join WikiProject Orienteering and make a few edits or comments or participate in a discussion to at least give this group a pulse.

This is a great idea. Wikipedia articles show up in most internet search results.

there is an O-map Wiki project on the iOF page https://omapwiki.orienteering.sport/, and an associated FB page

It would be great if folks associated with the iOF wiki project would join WikiProject Orienteering at Wikipedia. These are not mutually exclusive.

@CowBell - They could cross-reference each other, but I's have absolutely no idea who to suggest such thing to. IOF as the international federation governing the sport should probably have an interest in entries and definitions on either project not conflicting with one another.

This has been noted by your resident IOF person. I'll follow this up.
