For those who haven't known Swampfox quite as long as I have known him (not quite all the way back to Woodstock times), you need to understand that Jimi Hendrix holds deep meaning for Swampfox, and so I read Swampfox's comment above as being the highest possible praise for Ted's insightful analysis of the race.
To put this in context, an anecdote: Back in the days when I (and Mikell) were on the US team at WOC (and maybe still, I don't know)--this particular story may have been from WOC 1979 in Tampere, Finland--each team was supposed to bring a recording of their national anthem to be played at the medal ceremony in the case that the team won a gold. Not to besmirch myself or my teammates, but I don't think I'm going out on a limb to say that none of us much fancied our chances for winning gold. So we were joking that we had "forgotten" our anthem recording, when Mikell piped up, "I brought along a cassette that has that
covered!"
