Are the relay results going to be posted?

Relay results are up on the website (2 of the US Sr Mens teams not up [yet] tho)

Most of the teams are listed as BAOC instead of the name/clubs they were registered as.

Are the relay results going to be corrected? There were a number of teams (mine included) who were given a bib number different from what was in the computer, so all three runners on the team were recorded as MP. I reported this at the finish, and it looks like it was fixed in one or two cases, but not all.

(If anyone from the results team sees this, my team is ROC-GAOC. We were given bib 175 and ran with those maps, but the splits printout said team 174.)

Any idea when the results will be posted on Eventor? The Canadian champs in 2 weeks are also WREs so world rankings will affect the start lists.

Seconding Robbie’s question, there are World Cup races that some North Americans are attending in less than a week and world ranking may be used for some start lists.

AP doesn't like uploading splits for relays due to the variations involved. It's the same for any courses involving butterfly loops, phi loops or forking of any kind. World ranking figures won't be taken from AP results anyway.

How about correcting the posted relay results for those of us who were given the wrong bib numbers and maps and are shown as MP?

Heard from the crewe that they are going to work on the issues during the rogaine today; hopefully we see improved/corrected relay results today/tomorrow. (no news on IOF submission)

From Erik Blake regarding world rankings:

"Results have been sent to IOF, but there are some issues they are working to resolve."

Any update on the WRE results? Would be nice to have our scores counted as more WRE events which will use the rankings for start lists are coming up.

The results have been published to Eventor

Looks like seniors only, nothing for the juniors or youth (sprint only)?

Bumping this again - any reason the juniors did not get ranked for their WRE races at NAOC?

Including the sprint, which I think was the same as the elite courses, so it should not have been a factor of not having enough already-ranked runners.

Are you referring to the world rankings? Those are senior only, but if the sprint was run on the same course then the results which should have been submitted should have combined all classes running on that course.

It was listed as WRE for all the junior elites as well - for all the races. I am pretty sure that the sprint course was the same as the seniors, as we've had occasions in the past when a junior has won the personal start.

are there not junior world rankings? I should probably know more about rankings but honestly it's all quite foreign to me, I just know that some rankings exist

IOF Rankings for NAOC results:

Middle
Long
Sprint

They were not easy to find.

Juniors get ranked when their races are WREs. US Juniors have been ranked in the past from NAOC races when they have been WREs. From the Cal O-Fest website "Women and men who participate in and finish any F/M-21+ Elite or F/M-20 Elite course will automatically receive World Ranking points, if they provide an IOF ID."

So, it seems that the M/F-20 results should also be ranked.

Alex, I think most of your current ranked races are probably from JWOC with the exception of World Cup events.

https://ranking.orienteering.org/Ranking is the website. If you use the drop-boxes, you can select just ranked athletes from a single country, since the entry page only shows the top 100 men and women.

(Things I learned when I was doing US Team selection some years ago...very helpful to be able to pull ranked international results for US athletes who live abroad).

Two easy ways to find the ranking points for an event:

1. Go the World Rankings, clicking on a competitor you know was there (you might need to 'please click here' to see them, filtering by country or continent), and then clicking on the event.

2. Go to IOF Eventor, which contains the official results for all WREs, click on the event and then the "World Ranking scores" link.

Are the NAOC results available anywhere with an indication of who was actually NAOC eligible and won the medals in each age class?

Can we put this into the Rules of Competition for championship events: that the host club must publish results with a column denoting eligibility as soon as possible after a race (if not built into whatever results system they employ), preferably no later than when awards take place? I've attended multiple championship events where awards are given to ineligible competitors...it's a bit of a joke. It's not like the data doesn't exist.

I’d personally like to see eligibility in advance, like in the start list. Certainly that info is known to the organizers. Then we’d 1) know who our eligible competitors were and 2) have a chance to have corrections made.

Can't speak for results formats, but there is an eligibility field in EventReg, that could be included in the registration/start list.

For this event, I think there were three separate championships: Western States, NAOC, and Cal O-Fest so I assume it is taking some time to decipher all of the results. I too would like to see the actual eligible results for each of these.
