Was the allocation of classes to courses at the US Champs the current USOF standard, i.e., M60 to Green X, M18 to Green Y, etc?
When were these standards adopted?
USOF rules do not specify how to split classes between two or more courses of the same color. There is a list that is a suggestion (prepared by Bill Cusworth, I believe) that makes good sense in most cases, but various considerations may cause a meet director to choose to split them differently.
The allocation of the classes was done by the meet director, an M60, who like me, prefers to run against his peers to compare times. Thank you Evan. To others who might want to split the courses differently, please note.
