My Garmin died today, but I also had my Apple Watch on. The map in the Fitness app shows my route. Is there a way to download the tract to a gpx file so I can put it on Route Gadget?

Mr Wonderful:
Yes, the gist is you export all of the health data, then you'll get the route from a folder from that dump.

Thanks. That worked fine.

You might give Control Orienteering Analysis from Appleā€™s App Store a try. It renders a Quick Route-type track overlay on the map image, more easily than Quick Route itself, IMHO. And you can export a GPX file.

An option I've used is an iOS/macOS app GPX Workout that will export a GPX file from workouts tracked on an Apple Watch. If you're using iCloud drive it'll just automatically sync the files to a directory "GPX Workout". Ultra simple, one time 99c, no IAP, no data collected.
