Before we register for mid-Atlantics, we were wondering whether SI controls will be in beacon mode for SI Air+?

If not, we'll register with our other SI card numbers. Thanks!

We usually don't do SI Air but I cannot confirm that they won't be.
You can always switch on the day (Valerie *loves* that.... Maybe Valerie or Ted (CS) will weigh in).

You could just not check your stick unless the starter forces you to.

No, the air mode will not be used. We allow people with SI-air cards to skip the Check.

Even if the controls are not in Air mode, the Air card has the extra benefit that the card itself still flashes and beeps (if you check), and it will still be turned off by punching the finish.

Can confirm. I routinely use my SI Air for all our events (skipping the check). Flashes and beeps at all the controls.
