kansas + black piping
Not depicted in this sketch are the logos on the sleeve, which will match the Kansas outline logo, but have "OK" in a larger font. This will sit just above the hem on the sleeve.

The design also features an 11" zipper front.

Fit & Fabric:
This jersey is made by AxisGear specifically designed for orienteering, using three distinct fabrics.
Hydroquick: a wicking and quick-drying polyester material, used on the main chest and back panels
Airlite: a tough synthetic material, used on most of the blue panels of the design.
Airmesh: a very breathable, meshy fabric used on the side panels (black) of the design.

All design elements (logos and pink checkerboard) will be custom sublimated onto the fabric (think bike jerseys) and will NOT be screen printed. Hence the higher price.

Sizing:
This is a snug-fitting orienteering jersey. The chest measurements are as follows:
XS: 36.5
S: 38.5
M: 40.5
L: 42.5
XL: 44.5
XXL: 46.5

Pricing:
If we get an order between 13-24 jerseys:
-- $75 each, in Canadian $, which is currently about $75 USD.
-- Plus a one-time $90 set-up fee for sublimation (adds about $4-7 per jersey, depending on how many we get).

Here's a bitmap version of one of my final design templates. The only difference between this version and the one that I turned in is the sleeve logo, which reads "OK" in larger text. The actual file is in vector format. One thing to note: I wasn't able to modify the AxisGear logo on the front chest in the file, but I've mentioned the design change (fit the logo within the checkerboard pattern), so the actual jerseys should have the AxisGear logo as it is in the sketch.

Well, we've got the 13 required to bump us into the next price bracket. The Oread has been out for a day and a half, and I haven't heard anything from anyone else.

PTOC has a meet on Saturday. Do we have time to wait until after the meet to place the order? I could put together a little sheet with some info and see if there are any takers at the meet.

At this point, we probably do, since it's Thursday already. If it takes 6 weeks to process an order, adding a few extra orders now shouldn't be a big deal.

I'm still waiting to hear about what options we have about getting them to relays on time. I'm wondering if AxisGear will be in attendance at Relay Champs, since it's a team-oriented A-meet that's only a 3-hour drive from Toronto.

I printed out the design and posted a couple of notes at the PTOC meet today. No telling if it'll generate any sales. I wrote that if people were interested in ordering they should contact Patrick.

Looks like I screwed up.

I don't think they'll be ready for relay champs. The response time I'm getting from these guys is pretty slow, as they were finally able to open up my template file this morning, over week after I originally sent it. They are still saying 7 weeks for production, and we need it done in 5.5. I asked earlier if we have the option of rushing it, but they never answered that question.

Well that's how it goes sometimes. We'll look cool next year anyway!
I talked to Legs Linthicum today, and he is interested in getting a top, though he read the pricing info wrong and thought the set-up fee was charged for each shirt, and so thought each one would cost at least $150. When I cleared that up for him, he was interested again.
He doesn't read this so he'll have to let you know via email. Spike, if you have his email address, perhaps you could send him the pertinent info. I'm on my laptop & I don't have his address here.
By the way, I registered for the Relays today. We all missed the cheapest option ... make sure you register before April10th, when the next price takes effect. We're booked at the Comfort Suites in Rochester (listed under lodging).

I forwarded this link to Legs. Now it's up to him if he wants to order. If he still can, that is.

Spike got me his order, and because AxisGear took so long to get the correct price quote to me (the first one was much higher than what they first quoted, so I had to straighten that out), Legs will be able to get one in.

I was wondering when someone was going to broach this subject!

Jerseys are at my house, have been for a few weeks now, but just getting around to posting. They look really, really sharp.

There are 14 of them, and I think 8 of them are going to the KC area (Spike, Mary, Gene, Fritz, Marv, Peter), so I can send all of those at once. That leaves a Dave, Peggy, and Mook, which I can also send. Or, if Mook is going to O' in the Oaks, I can just hand deliver that one.

How shall we pay you?

I think I'll set up something through PayPal, if that works. It's probably the easiest thing to do. If not, I guess checks in the mail would work, or maybe pay my dad directly at a local meet... lots of options.
