Thanks to all the organizers of the Canadian Rockies Orienteering Festival events. We had a fabulous time the whole week and really appreciate all the work that has been put in by the organizing clubs in the face of schedule disruptions, permit issues, and everything else COVID-related.

A special shout-out to the start crews' willingness to work with my family's requests for split starts, allowing my wife and me to compete, as well as to shadow our five-year-old daughter on her courses every single day.

I was part of the Start crew at the COC. 'Five-year-old daughter'? Only five? I have to tell you it was the pleasure of the day to see Inara, her friend and their designated shadows come up the start chute.
And good job getting her outfitted in that popular Grizzly Orienteering club outfit. Cute beyond words! Pictures please, pictures.
But yes, let me echo the thanks to the CROF organizers. It has to have been tough with the two-year delay and knowing that all their efforts were going to be met with a much smaller than usual entry field. They put everything they could into producing a first-class event.

I’d like to second Boris’ thanks. A huge shout out to everyone involved in the Canadian Rockies Orienteering Festival (strikethrough 2020 2021) 2022. Orienteers tough out challenging conditions such as the WCOC Long in the rain, and the CROF team had to tough out and navigate through seemingly countless setbacks. Congratulations to all.

Thanks very much for a delightful week! It is excellent to have national events again. I wasn't able to attend the COC weekend, but I appreciate the boon - and hard work and logistical effort - of a full week of orienteering events. Thanks to FWOC and all the organizing clubs and people for making the CROF possible. Getting out to Canmore is a superlative joy.

Big thanks to KOC, FWOC, and the Barebones crew for an excellent week of orienteering!

This was so much fun. Great organization, and a nice contrast between the three different forests, and a very relaxed atmosphere at the arenas, camping (and even a symphony). It was Brenda's and my first time at Western Canadians and Canadians, and we can't wait for the next!
