Discussion: ride to Event center

is there anyone here that can offer a ride for 2 from Naples airport to the event center the morning of July 8th? Please and thank you. Joe and Pavlina

I gave up waiting for them to give details for how a single person (not a club hiring a bus) could get to or from Vieste. I booked the public transit myself.

My plan is train to Foggia, then public bus from there (several a day, looks like a local service that doesn’t need to be booked). I’m also travelling on the 8th, starting from Milan.

Blair, that's what I'm doing, Except I'm coming from Rome and going to Naples after. Trenitalia to Foggia., then bus to Vieste. I did make sure to get a reservation for the bus.

https://www.cotrap.it/ for the buses. No English version as far as I can see, but Chrome does a good job. My Italian is just barely adequate to navigate it.

SV: From the Trenitalia app, it looks like Bari airport is a Trenitalia station.

And both @origamiguy and I made it, notwithstanding the lack of information about where the bus actually picked up at Foggia and the thunderstorm which unloaded in the 15 minutes before the bus arrived. (However, if I understand the sign at the bus terminal correctly, most of the buses don't run on Sundays so I may need to go as far as Foggia on Saturday evening after the long race).

Hi, Blair, I wondered if thatt was you at Foggia. I have a reservation for a bus leaving Vieste Sunday morning at 5:52 AM. It's also the SITA line that you can book through COTRAP.

Yes, I saw that one. If that's the only Sunday option then I think I'd rather get one of the late Saturday options to Foggia (would expect the long distance to be done in time to make the 5.45 comfortably but there are a couple of later ones too).

Our flight from Bari to Rome was cancelled, so we're looking to get a train from Foggia to Rome Saturday evening. Anyone heading to Foggia by car after the long on Saturday?

we can do it but it's either you or J+P (Foggia is much easier than Napoli)

As TD has noted Pavlina and I are looking for rides back to Naples Saturday after the event.
