I seemed to have an inordinate number of those in advance of schools' champs!

Surprised I didn't need to stop and sleep on the drive home given how terribly I slept in the tent at the Beechworth Holiday Park on Friday & Saturday (unsurprisingly there were no other tents there on either night). The fact I went to bed at 8:30pm Saturday and got up after 7am may have contributed to it (though I did spend an awfully long time awake during the night, so much so at one point that I decided to read for a bit at around 2am).

The area was much more enjoyable that I remember it being at the HP training event earlier in the year. We must have got the worst of it on that occasion although I note from my trace it was further to the SE (I did accidentally end up driving back to Beechworth through the not so private property south along Masons Rd on Saturday as I'd previously done from the HP training).

At the training camp you got all the areas we didn't want for the Championships. The back road is a public right of way but I wasn't sure what condition it would be in (and the number of gates is a pain if you're on your own).

I did get told that (about the road) but it hasn't stopped the property owner from putting up private property signs at both ends, though you have to search for the one at the western end (it's nailed to a tree some way from the gate - there are three gates and yes they are a pain).
