Immune system in some form of shock post PB, OCT may seem like a nice idea but I can tell you now would have been stupid.

You appear to have mistyped months as week.

Some people can bounce back from big things really quickly. John Kelly/Sabs etc. But even then they come back doing big slow things that put less of a strain on the CV/heart. It'll be interesting to see how bodies react over the long term. They may be genetically predisposed, the freak we aspire to be. Mark may be too. He may not. Meanwhile, looking at people who have done too much too soon after putting the body under immense stress, I only really see CF or heart problems. Which look a bit shit. I'm not speaking from a performance perspective I'm talking from a life perspective. Hell even I had a heart worry and that was 6 months post DB. I get it climb and big days and races and smashing the job and life are are manly and massage the ego but it's pretty shit if you do a proper number on yourself. Yeah I'm pissed and if I had to stop fell fun times tomorrow I'd be happy with my lot, but I'd rather not risk it to be Billy Big Balls for a fortnight and tomorrow's sad sack for the next n years

I know I know - you're all very sensible. It's not an ego thing though - I just have major, crushing fomo that I struggle to deal with mentally.

After 3 months of unknown illness I’ll happily swap you for your rest week. Not sure it would have helped me at the time, but baba is right it’s pretty shit when you’re out long term.

Given your year, "so disappointed" seems a little excesssive.

FOMO?

OK, I may need to unfollow you Mark. Seriously?

Check out my 2022.
