Sorry to hear the struggle with day care!

On a different subject, will you be a beneficiary of the J Webb telescope? Sounds like it will look early, early into the beginnings of the universe and newborn galaxies.

Oh man…sorry; especially on the testing struggle.

In SF there is a testing site outside the airport (in a truck, in a parking lot) where you can get them $200 to get a OCR test with results in 2hrs. Looks like there are locations in Portland. Expensive…but maybe worth it for S to be able to go back to preschool? Hopefully it’s legit?

At this point, they will let her back on tues regardless, but sad for her to have missed all of last week when no one was sick. We now have some of the Lucira at home tests (from my understanding, nearly-PCR) for the future, but good to know about this testing site too - seems way more legit than the one down the road from us which is now being investigated for never reporting results to the health authority...

And James Webb will help a lot with so many things! I haven't geared my research to depend on it (super competitive space at the moment, and I can't go as full-tilt as a researcher at an R1), but it will for sure come in useful! Very excited things have gone well with it's launch + deployment!

Also: only *one* of his teachers ended up testing positive. Wish daycare would communicate better - only heard that yesterday from another parent. Argh.
