Discussion: Donate By Friday and help Orienteering 5 times over.

As a member of Orienteering Ottawa I just received a message asking for donations to help Orienteering Quebec.
In most cases donation appeals get my special quick delete button but this one pulled me in. I donated and I urge other Canadians and people from away to donate. too.
Why?
1) Orienteering Quebec is struggling back from the brink of extinction but now I'll bet they are the fastest growing federation in Canada. . OQ is working to establish in more of the big province's regions and they are getting the job done.
2) One club made a big donation in the name of Colin Kirk. My donation is with theirs in memory of my great friend, Colin
3) The Quebec government is matching our funds an incredible 5 to 1. My $200 will end up being $1,200.
Hey you folks in western Canada always complaining how much money Quebec gets from you. Now is your chance to take some of it back and direct it to a sport we all love.

Practicing orienteering increases our capacity to make good decisions while finding our way in unfamiliar environments. When orienteering, we are exercising without even realizing it…it is like a treasure hunt…only better!
Let us unite the whole community to support and develop the sport in schools, as a family leisure activity and at a competitive level.
Your donation is multiplied by 6 !
Every 1$ donated allows for a total of 6$ to be raised for the development of the sport of orienteering in Quebec thanks to the Placement Sports program. This program allows up to 12 000$ of donations to be matched at 500% by the Quebec Government. Receipts will be issued for all donations of 25$ or more.

500 $ 2500 $ 3000 $

And we damn well better meet up next summer - perhaps in the Thousand Islands with mapping tools in hand, eh?
Update: payment done. (It almost didn't get done as I was trying to enter credit card information in the wrong field, not the field at the bottom of the page.) But oops I only entered $50 Canadian. That's only about $38 US. Bargain for you guys.
