Anyone planning on heading to Kingaroy for Easter 2022 and/or the NOL races the following weekend?
I was keen for both, but just found out that I’ve got the first week of Term 2 between the two sets of events (probably not the case for WA school holidays), so the sprints are less likely :(

We'll be at both, provided I don't get a surprise police job in the meantime but even if I do, they probably won't be training us over Easter (that would also make the second weekend unlikely). At this stage we're booked in.

Planning on entering Easter in or near my age group but the sprints as an elite (only way to do the knockout).

My plans are similar re:age groups if I can stay injury free and increase training slightly. The ‘long’ day for M45 seems pitifully short, but don’t think I’ll be up for 19km instead.

Yeah I only noticed the other day that 'long' events for age groups other than the elite categories are typically only 60min or less (you'll note this is the same for Aus Champs next year).

I did just notice the knockout sprint has different categories too, not just elite. Only the elite has up to four races though (if you make it that far) so maybe I won't do elite. I'll see how I go during next year's MFR sprints before deciding (the Friday night relay is for elites only though).

We haven't thought that far ahead yet but we might go. We are mostly guided these days by how keen the kids are to go.

Were are a possible - but too far out for definite planning and too many uncertainties

Yet you are still down as going to Oceania next year and you said you were going two years ago!

Well I am still the SEA for Oceania ....

I'm at Easter now so it looks like I made it. Richard achieved the unpossible and broke his foot but then he wasn't coming anyway, too busy being SEA for Oceania.

Happy that everyone is doing well at Easter. Liam and Eckart, I’ve been in your shoes 10 times more than you guys right now after this event, I never would have a clean run like Aldo did for my first run in M16s. Regroup, dissolve all expectations, anxieties and/or cockiness and simply just orienteer. Don’t talk to anyone before you start, hop onto Aston’s Running Wild legs for Easter to study the map before tomorrow and clear your mind, keep tranquil.
