They're not squatters - they're protesters. If it wasn't for them there wouldn't be a Stanton moor. Did you chat to them? They seemed quite happy for the race to go through their encampment.

Hi OJ, are you the chap doing the new map for Stanton? I'm planning a DVO event there next year, I know it's a bit early but it'd be good to see the map if that's possible? or is the new map just for BUSA?

The new map is available for DVO as well, subject to some renumeration...it's a great area, really unusual. Also by next year the tree people will have left since they have won their fight, so you'll be able to use the whole woodland.

yeah the protesters are really nice. I understand that they are 'the stanton saviours'!.. I had a chat to a nice lady about how they were bloody freezing at the moment and they seemed quite happy that people would be runing around in a few weeks. I've seriously had to change my courses though... Washing lines and the like...!!
