Just guessing, might that be a fellow OKer whose last name starts similarly to Linear Ice?

Ha, no, but nice guess. It was nice to see Dave this weekend. I missed you Steve but did see Betsy briefly. Linear Ice=Erin McDowell of MNOC who took a hiatus from O for the past few years. Linear Ice is her AP name.

She was a speed skater as a youth.
It was great to see her!

I thought it might be feature, like linear moraine from a glacier or something like that. Cool AP name.

It's an anagram of her first and middle names.
