Pretty nice actually. Way too high for bracken. Top is a bit steep but then you drop into something that looks quite magical (well when the mist is clearing at least) and good fun. Then a bit more steep to the corridor but lines to be had. Enough grass and not very rocky at all.
Done it both ways and down was more fun (but less hardcore)

Well done. I can update you on 'longer multistage races' after next week.

Cheers, that sounds nice, I'll have to have a look sometime. I did wonder if it would be a faster Joss Naylor line to drop all the way down to the Corridor from GE too, which I guess is similar terrain.

My bracken worry was further along that choice, from where the continuation of the Corridor route W meets the Lingmell stream around the bottom of the BG scree round to the Scafell/Illgill col - that goes down to 300m which I thought was pushing it a bit.

Yes, looking forward to hearing about the DB. Tbh what puts me off the most is the inability to shower for a week leading to likely chafing issues, but you're likely more hardcore than I am.

There are a few sections of the DB route where I'm looking at lines from previous years then remembering they weren't run in September! There's a shower at end of day 2 and streams for the rest of the time, luxury! Liberal use of Vaseline a must, hopefully it's not too humid.
