I made an .mp4 with the GOES-15 GEOCOLOR satellite images over the whole weekend, and added the AQI history plots with the events labeled. Click on image to play:



To play as a loop (in firefox) you can left-click and select loop. Otherwise you might have to download and use Quicktime or some other player. imigur down-sampled the resolution when I uploaded it. If you'd like a copy of the original, e-mail me and I'll send you a copy. The original file is 28MB.

These are the daytime photos, so there's a gap between each day. A moving line on the history plots shows the corresponding AQI at the two race sites at the time of each frame. The width of the event name text is approximately the time-span of the event itself.

Check out the conical shadow of Mt. Shasta on top of the smoke layer in the morning and evening of the second day. Here it is in an original frame.
