I heard there was an email this afternoon about Saturday's middle event possibly being cancelled. Neither I nor two of the people I'm travelling with received that email (we all checked our spam folders). Can someone please copy-paste the full text of that email here? Thank you!

"Hi everyone, Due to wildfire smoke in the area, it may be necessary to cancel the middle distance event on Saturday, August 7. Our team will make the decision around 7:00 a.m. Saturday morning. We will send an email soon after. You will also be able to check the event page at that point. Tahoe 2021 committee"

New note:
Tonight’s packet pickup at Donner is cancelled.

New note 2:
A note about bathrooms Saturday:
There will only be primitive and very limited toilets with privacy screens at the Saturday Middle courses Arena/Start area.

The last chance to use a 'real restroom' will be at the Hwy 89 parking lot, which is 2.2K walk from the arena/start. Please plan accordingly.

Wildfire smoke: watch for an email Saturday morning
The team will make a decision tomorrow around 7:00 AM about whether to hold the Middle-distance race. Watch for an email soon after 7:00 AM, or check the event page for an update.

I was wondering if it would be possible to still head out tomorrow in the event that the race is cancelled due to air quality and there is no real wildfire risk? I'd be willing to head out individually on an O-range course with an n95 mask if the air quality is too hazardous to hold the race officially. Would just need a way to pick up the printed map somewhere in town and someone would have to upload the courses to O-Range or usynligo or whatever.

I received this email at 720a this morning from the Tahoe O fest registrar, but some people in my group did not. In case you did not:.

Saturday's Middle Postponed
Air quality remains extremely unhealthy, so we cannot hold the event this morning..

The wind has shifted, which may improve the situation by the afternoon. We will make another announcement at noon today. If we hold the event in the afternoon, the earliest starts would be at 2:30 PM.

The mapping workshop is canceled.

The dinner is currently on, at the previously-planned 6-8 PM.

The Orienteering USA board meeting may be moved to this morning; check the Boardnet for updates.

Stay safe, stay healthy, stay fit,

Tahoe 2021 committee
