Discussion: Splits

Hi Nancy,

We went to Earl's Trails today and I added a "race" for the Brown course, so if you uploaded/connected yours to that event we can compare times and, I think, tracks. I suspect you beat me on all the splits because you finished overall about 6-7 minutes faster.

We had a great weekend, even if the weather left a bit to be desired. I'm sure my shoes will dry eventually. I've added the splits for Earl's Trails and you did get me for a couple of controls. I got pretty confused on the way to #7 for no particular reason, and you must have been faster up the hill on #2.

We'd like to go to Montana to orienteer, but this year seemed too soon. Maybe next year they'll hold it later in spring? ;-)

After messing up #1 by heading to #7 first, I decided to go as directly as possible up the hill. I think I saw from your track you stayed more on the switchbacks.

They've got plenty of events on their schedule, though this one had additional appeal because it offered two days. In terms of weather, I think the late snow was somewhat unusual; just a few days earlier it had been in the 80s.
