1300 m nearly out of the gate! Someone took over an hour on that one, they just missed it when they finally got close and then did a big loop before catching it later.

Wished I got a chance to say high, it was nice to hear your voice anyway!

Sorry, I was in a bit of a hurry to run early and then drive 2 hours and have as much daylight as possible to check control sites and map updates at Camp Libbey.

Since the OCIN Camp Libbey meet (SW of Toledo near Defiance) is May 15 and SMOC has a meet May 16, I'm hoping that both OCIN and SMOC can promote a 2 day weekend, maybe get a few people to come from a bit farther.

2 was a stupid error on my part. I got close, then turned along the marsh, intitially thinking that it was a water filled depression. I think I was just not alert enough and not trusting the map or my compass enough. Took me WAY too long to realize what I was doing and correct. Part of the problem is that I have been working a whole series of local meets on 5000 maps and doing fieldwork updates and a new map, working at scales of 2500 to 5000, so I think I had a bit of a mental lapse getting into 10,000 and 3 meter.

I have lost count going along the big marsh before, for some reason it's slightly harder to track than it should be, from looking at in at my chair at home versus running along it.

I had to double-take seeing you log several hours of work back closer to home on the same day!

Two day sounds great!
