Happy New Year!
Exciting News - the January 1 event at Camp Timberhill will repeat tomorrow, Saturday, January 2 - same time and same place! But we expect MUCH better weather. We hope!!!
This has been a strange and crazy day. Is it really not still 2020?!? This morning, heavy rains flooded the road leading to Camp Timberhill, and park rangers turned away at least two thirds of the arriving participants. Only 15 people (11 starts) got out on the courses before we got shut down. The good news is that through the wonderful cooperation of MetroParks, and the willingness of key volunteers who were there all day today to come back for another round, we can repeat the event tomorrow. Online pre-registration is open until tonight, January 1, at 9 pm EST
If you came to the event today and got in before the road closed, but would like to do a different course tomorrow, please register again for the new course.
If you were already registered for today but did not come (for any reason), please do NOT register again. Your map will still be waiting for you!
If you were not already registered for New Year's Day, but want to come January 2, please pre-register by 9 pm.
