Discussion: Selection of 2008 JWOC Team

Final Announcement for the Selection of the 2008 JWOC Team.

The selection will be made following the Flying Pig A event the first weekend in April 2008. For the first time the Male/Female Varsity results from the Interscholastics will be included in the ranking this year for M/F 20 which are the rankings that are used in the selection of the JWOC team. Anyone wishing to submit a petition for consideration for the team must have it and all of the supporting information to me by the Flying Pig weekend in order for it to be considered in the selection of the team.

Is the entire selection process spelled out somewhere, so that interested people can refer to it? For example, what are the ranking requirements, and how many men and women are selected? It would be good to have this on the web somewhere; maybe it already is and I just don't know about it.

This page has a link to the 2008 Selection Method, but is really the 2007 method. I trust that the only differences are outlined in Janet's note (i.e. later cutoff date and including HS Varsity courses from the Interscholastic Meet in the M/F-20 ratings for team selection purposes).
