I have had a lot of fun up at Hickory Run scouting control locations - lots of cool terrain that I have rarely or never seen before!

Love the title, "Exact Change", reminds me of this

Years ago there was an event called Lepregaine, by Central Ohio Adventure Racing (COAR), held around the time of mid-March St Patrick's Day, in which some of the controls had a plastic gold coin, as in reference to the Leprechaun gold coins.

it primitive cabins or group tenting in the park for overnighting, that would be great.

Unfortunately the primitive cabins will not be available - though there are some cabins and many tent sites in the hickory run public campground that can be rented (see the link in the event flyer).

The group primitive cabins that we use for training weekend are given out to the same groups each weekend of each year so we could not use them for this event.
We got really luck with the Hickory Hop rogaine a few years ago in that a different group canceled on exactly the weekend we were running the event so we got to use the cabins, but unless such luck repeats the group sites won't be available.
