hmmm... maybe next time it will be a whipped cream torte or pie that one has to carry back intact ...
There was an egg a few years ago. We thought we might have to advance it a control or two, ended up being like 5 miles, in terrain that includes random missing tree stumps that are great trip hazards. I managed to hand carry mine, Kevin did fine in pocket, and Sydney cracked hers in her map case with like 125 m to go after all that care!
Note to self: bring pack and bubble wrap next time!
A waist pack works well for carrying an egg (we used that two years ago).
I put the balloon in my map bag and didn't even notice when it popped. It was probably in the awful thorn forest... The upside was that this year I didn't end up with yolk all over my maps!
