Go for a run on Sunday and help Australia's devastated wildlife. Hanny has posted a donate message on Facebook suggesting that you go for a run this Sunday (it can be an event, or just your usual training run) and reflect on the one billion animals affected by wildfires, then make a donation.

If you’re near by Glasgow this Sunday Enter STAGS SCORE 2+ at Strathclyde Country Park. https://www.stag-orienteering.co.uk/events/strathc...

We will be supporting this great cause (50% of profits and maybe some cake sales) and would love for people to join us :)

To help wildlife carers in East Gippsland (Victoria) donate here, and for Kangaroo Island (South Australia) donate here.

I posted the link to Suncoast Orienteering's Facebook page. Suggest others do the same on theirs. We'll have a collection jar at our next events.

I'm not running at the moment, but went for a 40km bike ride with a few hills to fulfil my physical side of the donation.

Here's an update from the wildlife carers on Kangaroo Island, and here's some views of the devastation.

For those especially interested in birds, some of the species affected were already endangered, such as the Glossy Black Cockatoos of Kangaroo Island, the Regent Honeyeater and the Northeastern Bristlebirds of Northern NSW/SE Queensland. Birdlife Australia has a campaign to help these and other birds affected by the fires: https://www.birdlife.org.au/current-appeal

STAG has made their donation. Thanks to all who came out to the Score event on Sunday. And thank you Simon for posting this and raising it to our attention and making it easy for us to help even a small bit.
