Discussion: COC2020 Mid-week Event

We are looking at the possibility of holding a mid-week event or two between the WCOC events and the COC events. The idea would be a sprint event and a barebones event Tuesday, July 7th and Wed. July 8th in the Crowsnest Pass area, near Blairmore. Gord Hunter and a few others have agreed to help organize these events but we are looking for a commitment from a few more that would be willing to help out on the day or a day or two in advance.. July 8-9 Day camp in Kimberley

"Day camp" meaning participants (and trainers?) would be responsible for their own accommodations and meals?

That’s correct. Participants would need their own accommodation and transport to the Kimberley Nordic centre each day. We are planning to reserve dorm style accommodation at the College of the Rockies that families can reserve . We hope to have other options soon.

nice to see website up.. what will be nicer , some dates/aprox timing on these dates and locations/city,before registration page is available. at least some travel/flight plans can be started

I could be of some help, but planning to participate in the camp with my kids. But the camp and mid-week events have conflicting schedules.

IIRC, in 2010, the Sass Peepre campers stayed at a school (high?) in Cranbrook.

Great news coming about a schedule adjustment for the Barebones events in the Crowsnest Pass area.
