The e-punching splits from the sprint finals weekend have been merged into the previously posted splits. (thanks to valerie for providing the files) some notes:

-If you already posted your own splits, your e-punch splits were not included, except in cases where the times are very different (by a particular computable measure). Usually this means your existing set had a missed split or a split that was different by more than a few seconds. claim the extra one, and you can remove the one you don't want.

-to claim a set of splits that is yours, just click on the "?" and enter your SI card number. then it's just like you entered the splits yourself, and you can add comments, etc. the next time splits are imported from an event you run in, your splits will be assigned to you automagically.

-I don't attempt any matching based on the names in your profiles, except as a confirmation when existing splits are slightly different from the SI ones.

-during the import, attackpoint has "learned" many of your SI card #s. if you used a rented card that weekend, you might want to reset or fix the si card # on your profile page, because that will be used to match results that are uploaded in the future.

-it's obvious that the split graph needs some work for better display/management of lots of spilts.

-start times are also imported and stored, which will allow persuit-style graphs in the future.

-the upload process is very easy, but I'm going to control it for a little while so I can make sure that it's working for oddball cases. you can email me results exported in the IOF XML format.

tell me if you notice anything wierd. this seems cool, hopefully it works.

Holy crap Kenny, you are amazing. I hope USOF pays you the big bucks to get something like this set up for everybody. This is exactly what USOF needs. It's nice to have it all to ourselves for now though :D

Valery or any Sport Ident whiz, here's a question: at our local C meets, we use Sport Ident but only use the thermal printer so you don't need a power source. Our problem is that once it's time to post results, it only gives us splits in elapsed time, which is a pain. I know we could set up an Excel sheet to have it calculate it, but have any of you found a way to simply download splits in their normal format if using thermal printer only?
Thanks a lot

If your club has the OE/MT software license, then you would set up the event with the controls, course, classes, entries, etc. Then under Read SI Cards, you would select Read MASTER station, and in that screen you would read the master station "directly." Then Save and the downloaded SI cards would be matched up with the rest of the data and the splits/results would be available like usual.

I see... any way of not setting up the courses and classes though? I guess our club is trying to keep is as simple as possible but still use Sport Ident. And since the thermoprinter gives you splits, you would think you would be able to get them on a download as well... but maybe not!
In any case, thanks for your previous advice.

Not having ever used the setup you are talking about, I don't know if you can do what you are asking. I'll post the request to the SI group and see what kind of response I get.

SI help Part 2.
In GHO we are experimenting with only 1 course at our B meets. A 10K course but with short cuts. Those that complete the entire course get ranked ahead of those that only go part way. Those that go only part way are not disqualified they are just ranked behind those that complete the entire course. But this approach doesn't lend itself well to SI. Anybody that has ideas please email me.

The newest SI thermal printers save up results and allow you to print out the full results at the end, so maybe they allow download as well.
