Discussion: Car rental rates dropping

I haven't checked other airports but rental rates at SFO have dropped considerably in the past few days. I just changed mine and cut the price to less than half what it was a week ago. FYI.

Great to hear. FWIW, renting off-airport in the San Francisco Bay Area is a can of worms. The chance of getting a dirty or broken vehicle is high because the inventory off-airport is typically tiny, and for most major car rental companies you are explicitly prohibited from swapping an off-airport car with something from the airport inventory. You get what you pay for.
