From Alewife Station: Walk 0.9mi: Left on Rindge st, turn right on Sherman St.

To Fresh Pond:
Walking
Cross Danehy park to the south. Right on Bay St, cross Concord Ave and follow the bike path south to Kingsley Park. Continue on the path around the pond another 0.3mi to the open field on your left. 1.2mi

Public Transit
Walk 0.4mi south across Danehy to Garden St. Continue straight on Alpine St. Pick up the 75 bus at Concord Ave & Alpine St. Two stops later, exit at Huron Ave opp Park Ave, and walk 400 feet down the hill toward the pond.

Driving
The parking at Fresh Pond is technically only for those with City of Cambridge residential parking permits. You may be able to find parking on nearby residential streets. We recommend walking or finding a ride with a Cambridge resident.

From I-95N: Exit 19 for Kendrick St/Needham
Merge onto Kendrick St (0.5 mi)

Nahanton Park is on your left; parking is at the pull-out on the left-hand side of the road.

Take either the 52 bus to Winchester St @ Goddard St or the 59 bus to Needham St @ Easy St. For the 52 bus, walk 0.5 mi south past the golf course and right at the sign into Nahanton Park. For the 59 bus, walk 1.1 mi south down Winchester St and right at the sign into Nahanton Park.

There will be a 1mi walk to the start, and from the finish. This is a flat walk on relatively good footing.
Parking: 86-88 Kendrick St, Needham MA 02494

Walking
Reverse the directions from Nahanton to Millenium. When you get to Nahanton St, go left, cross the river, and the parking lot is on your left. The inserted map (below) shows the start location.

Driving
Option 1: Reverse directions from getting here. Instead of turning right on Winchester St, continue straight on Nahanton, and the parking lot will be on the left. Parking is at the green text in the image below that says “Cutler Park Reservation.”

Option 2: Use your smartphone and pick up the highway for an exit.

To Jamaica Pond
Olmsted Park lot, Willow Pond Rd, Boston MA

Public Transit
From Harvard Square: Pick up the 66 Bus from Eliot St @ Bennett St, and ride it for 24 stops to Washington St @ Walnut. Walk 0.6mi south along the ponds to Willow Pond Rd.

From Boston: Take the Green Line E train to Heath Street (end of the line). Walk 0.6mi south along S. Huntington Rd, then right on Bynner St, which becomes Willow Pond Rd.

Driving
Willow Pond Road can be approached from either the east or the west, so plug the address into your GPS…

Parking is limited, so if the lot is full, go exploring on nearby side streets.

For Friday drivers - it isn't far from the big Danehy lot (New Street one) to Fresh Pond. Much easier than trying to find spaces that aren't permit only in Cambridge!
