I see that meet notes have been posted, but no mention anywhere of entry deadlines.

Most US registrars appreciate completed entries by two weeks ahead of the event dates and will accept late entries about a week before. Any later causes aggravated hair pulling and comments about procrastinators (see the Flying Pig thread). Especially when they're cadets nearing finals.

I too am looking for an entry deadline so I can let some of my club athletes know when they need to register by.

It says on the website at the bottom under pricing that the entry deadline is April 10th at midnight.

Yes, WP updated their event page to show that registration closes on Tuesday at midnight.

Per v3 of the meet notes and the latest update on the meet website (https://www.usma.edu/orienteering/SitePages/Nation...) - Day 1 parking is on the Central Valley side/end of the map, with a shuttle bus to the finish area at Lake Frederick.
Walk to start could be up to 1.75 km, 140m climb.

Interesting. Lake Frederick has a new land manager; there may have been some unforeseen complications. We'll try to work some Old Grad magic when we get out there, although we don't have any real "pull" these days. It'll be good to get some more former USMAOCers back as faculty in a few years.

Jim, if the shuttle's not hard core (or Old Corps) enough, there is always that very fine 12-mile road march route...;-)

Last day to register. In case you were wondering about those Junior fees of $36 per day, and perhaps that was holding you back from registering, I noticed that the registration program has been altered to collect just $25 per day - $2 OUSA discount = $23 per day. The USMAOC webpage still says $36, but the registration program says $25.

Day 1 is a short (400m?) walk to start from the bus drop-off. The 1.7K was a remnant from when the team expected to be able to park at Lake Frederick.

There is great spectating at the finish.
