Registration is now open for Orienteering Ottawa's Spring Training Weekend which takes place Friday June 1st to Sunday June 3

The is jam packed with 4/5 training sessions, 1 race, a few meals, yoga, swimming, and a presentation and tons of social time.

Will SI AIR+ be used all weekend?

Yes Dave, for all trainings / races with SI you will be able to use SI Air+ timing chips.

Some of the training sessions will be just control flags or pin flags (that's probably what will be used for the sprint trainings). You don't have to touch those ones either - just waving at them is good enough, so while only some sessions will be SI Air+, all sessions will be touchless... ;)

Will there be an SI Air+ string course for the under 4's? ;)

Lol, not this weekend Klepperton. We always try to keep the spring training weekend barebones in terms of organization so we can focus on the coaching.

That said it's something to consider for our fall O-Fest

Considering it, but we would only be able to make it for Sunday. If we can make that work would it be ok to drive up Saturday evening and pitch a tent for the night?

Also... will the O-store be there for the weekend?

Yes if you want to come up and pitch a tent for the night you are definitely welcome to.

The o-store will have some stuff for the weekend but not everything. If you have a specific request let them know and they can bring it for you.
