Anybody know why the World Cup qualifiers and B-finals did not count towards world ranking?? Only my crappy long final counted for me...

Damned if I know - I got ranked for the sprint B final in Surrey so it can't be just a WOC/WC rules difference.

It is the question to ask the Advisor. I had a discussion with Mr. Øyvind Holt back in 2002 and he reaffirmed the intent of the IOF to rank the B finals and the -E1, -E2 races at large elite events. I don't think WCup qualifiers are ranked, but the B finals should be.

Ranking B finals seems to have fallen out of favor. The B finals at WOC 2005 were unranked.

Sprint B in Surrey was different (not that I was there) - there were only ?27 qualifiers for the A, so people in the B were even able to earn WC points if they ran well.
