Not sure when you first did this. Sorry to hear, esp given your Europe visit.

I was a 'basket case' in 2011 with the same problem.

Thanks, I first did this, not knowing how, the end of May. I stopped running in mid June after a talk with Charlie's PT guy.
Fortunately the steep terrain here makes running not an option for much of the courses, but sprint's are pretty frustrating as I can't run.

Reminds me of my first o in Europe, in the Dolomites, a couple months after I trashed my hamstring. There would often be a long flatish run to the finish and all I could do was a slow hobble-jog. I suspect, like me, you may need some serious time off after this trip to let it heal. Think biking in the beautiful New England fall!
