The site was just offline for quite a while due to a disk space issue, which should now be resolved.
I am aware that some things are now running more slowly than usual, still working on that.
Thanks for your patience and sorry for the inconvenience.
Gosh I was stressed without my AP fix for a few hours.
Better now :-)
A blank AP screen! How do I go on?
Thanks.
The
Planning Calendar also seems to be having problems...
Briefly had a blank screen again on both desktop and phone, between 8 and 9 pm EDST. For diagnosis purposes: Happened just a minute or two after I completed creating
event 37730 and adding today's updates to my log.
@GuyO - I believe the planning calendar problems are unrelated. Mike S is working on that.
yes. planning calendar has been down since at least Saturday with a DNS problem.
Perhaps it would be smart to move the planning calender to the OUSA site or server...
Are you volunteering to maintain it? (Or are you volunteering Janet to maintain it?)
Neither. I'm suggesting that it belongs on the OUSA site, but still be maintained by Mike (or any future volunteer who isnt Janet). That said, if I had sufficient web expertise, I might very well be willing to maintain it.
Pretty sure Mike has his own software doing this. And my impression, which might be wrong, was that his system is calendaring more than just O events. So the upkeep at this point is probably less web expertise than data entry. While separating it from Mike's system would be... a project.
The OUSA site may potentially be as prone to outages as Mike's site. I haven't heard about a planned return date yet.
If anyone needs to check anything typically on that calendar while the site is down I can share his email address with you, but if the email address is connected with the site (I.e., a personal site) a communication may or may not go through.
Mike's e-mail address precedes his maintenance of the planning calendar by years, if not decades. FWIW...
Planning Calendar is back
Not on there yet, but going to sanctioning soon:
OCIN national meet - Dec 1-3, 2017 Northern Kentucky, 3 new maps.
OCIN Flying Pig - April 6-8, 2018, Hamilton, Ohio
Headed back to Carter Caves in Dec?
And now the OrienteeringUSA site is down temporarily. Sorry for the inconvenience.
