Discussion: Kalalau trail

That's the trail Ross and I ran by waking up very early in the morning and missing the crowds... on the way out at least. Then we napped and snorkelled at Ke'e beach for the afternoon!

We arrived later in the morning, 10:30am. Couldn't park at Ke'e, so had to walk the beach to the trail head. Fairly crowded but running was so much easier for me.

Oh so lovely Kauai. I hiked to Kalalau Valley Memorial Day weekend, 1971, about the last thing I did in Hawaii before leaving the navy. Was stationed at Pearl Harbor. Fond memories. You must have gone to the lookout above the valley? Tis another of the world's Shangri La's.
