Discussion: Is it cancelled?

I heard this event might be cancelled but it's still on QOC website.

As of last Sunday it was still on (source: QOC's VP-Virginia).
We'll be using old courses (but then again, Lake Accotink is constricted enough and we've used it enough that even new courses feel old. ;-).

Is the problem that there are no course setters / meet directors available? Has there been a request sent out for volunteers? I must have missed it...

I heard there was a conflicting event at the park causing issues for at least the mtbo part

But Virginia Sr. Olympics! :-)
No idea if they tried to get a course-setter or not. Since we divide up events between Virginia & Maryland and try to get people from the respective state to set/administer events in their state, I don't hear much about Virginia.

Where does DC fall?

Historically with Maryland, when there were fewer Maryland orienteers. I think now there are more than in Virginia. You may be fair game for both sides. ;-)
