We are pleased to announce a national junior training camp to be hosted in the Twin Cities in Minnesota this fall. This training camp is open to everyone, but all juniors and JNT members will be able to participate at discounted rates. There are some technically challenging maps lined up for this so I encourage anyone and everyone to consider coming out. Dates have been set for October 14-16, and the Laraia family will be hosting any traveling juniors in our home, providing beds and food. Included in the weekend are trainings on 5 different maps and participation at a local MNOC meet.

Registration is not currently open, but we're hoping to get it up and running soon. Until then, feel free to check out the bulletin and contact either me (micheal.laraia@gmail.com) or the coach, Erin Schirm (erinschirm@gmail.com), with any questions.

First bulletin with more details:

@JE: When I asked you about it at NAOC, you had doubts about being able to go because of XC.

Still not 100% sure it depends on if I'm on varsity, I'm 7th-8th man and they take top 7

They're having some sort of coaching clinic instead, aimed at locals. I think. Maybe someone connected with the camp/ clinic should post here!

The coaching clinic will be pretty specific to a local need. Erin will be teaching orienteering to people who already coach other sports, like XC skiing, for an organization called Trail Kids -- part of the Loppet Foundation.
