Not everything for 2006 is set -- from little issues like where and when the finals will be and what the format will be, or whether there will be any changes in the scoring system for the qualifying round, to big issues like will we have the "big checks" again at the finals -- well, maybe very little is set.

But the first pass at the schedule has been posted and we've already got 11 sprints listed. And that doesn't include the sprint at the Canadian Champs in mid/late August that we know will happen, but we also know we won't find out the details of it until early August....

Any suggestions for things to change (or leave the same) are welcome. Just realize that the Commissioner and his superb group of Assistant Commissions and Honorary Commissioners will do whatever they feel like doing. That's just part of being a Commissioner.

Yeah, if you do something that's really feeble, and then make it very slightly less feeble, I suppose that's jazzing it up....

My intention is that the Great Forest Park meet will be a sprint event next summer with at least one of the sprints being held on the brand new, never seen before section of restored prairie on the east edge of the map. Should have some details in a few months once I get a handle on the Team Trials thing.
