Discussion: Condes

Hi
Can anyone help me out with condes.

When I first started using condes and started creating various courses they all appeared across the top just below the tool bar. Right now they are not and I cant figure out how to switch between courses easily. Can anyone help me figure this out? Is it a setting issue? Thanks

In the left space you should have something that says "Edit courses." Click on this and it will show a list of your courses. Then click on the course you want to edit to see it in the course layout editor.

That's based on version 8, I believe. Our club hasn't upgraded to 9, so I don't know if it's the same.

I use 9, and courses are in a panel on the left side

Thanks guys, going back in I cant find a panel on the left and when I am looking at the all controls map I can't edit courses. Any thoughts?

No panel on the left? That is the first thing to sort out. The panel on the left, when lookig at all controls, should show list of controls

I actually don't think there is any way to hide the left panel, so if you don't see it perhaps you have accidentally made it tiny. You can do this by dragging on its edge.

Yup that was it did not even notice it had been shrunk to the edge. Thanks

In case you have further issues, there's a Condes user forum at http://www.condes.net/phorum/list.php?1 The programme author Finn Arildsen keeps an eye on it and will chime in if no-one else does.

When you say "our club hasn't upgraded", upgrading is free and is in the hands of each individual user, and your club authorisation code will carry across. I know there are issues with swapping files, is there any other reason for not using the latest?

I think 8 to 9 was a major upgrade and required an upgrade purchase and new activation code. Worth doing.

I apologise if that is the case. My club licenced only 2-3 years ago.
