this is a good brisk pace! looking good...hope you can join the speedwork camp. btw, I agree that those 1200's should be at I pace. but if you cruise a little in the beginning and kick at the end, that counts too doesn't it? Just thinking that its a good thing to practice since JD cautions against going out too hard, and that's is also how so many 1500 races unfold.
somethings wrong w the calculator though. not 6:20 pace. More like 6:40/mile
The confusion is probably that they were 1000's not 1200's. Nice workout for sure.
The problem is the measurement error of the GPS. It measured 0.65 miles, when it actually is 0.625 . This is noticeable when I do 200's, it measures 0.16 or 0.17 miles. That small error leads to the errors in the pace calculation, which we see as quite large (10-20 seconds).
ah the miracle of modern technology. I guess I'll stick to my sports watch:)
The time is still good, just the distance can vary and thus the pace. For short runs like that, time is the key component for a given distance. Figure pace later.
