Discussion: Track guard is a good job

You should see if you can get the job of track guard... it would make sneaking onto the track considerably easier :)

Good point, I could only show up when I want to run, the rest of the time anyone could sneak on as far as I am concerned.
I could rant awhile about this.. NU has abandoned the track, they no longer have meets there, the jumping pits and high jump is paved over with fake turf, all for a home field for the field hockey team.
I am all for field hockey, a great game (once I figured it out when Sam was a freshman), but to ban alumni and donors, from using the track is pretty galling.
I will just add that it is a beautiful setting and the track is in good shape. I remember years ago meeting a Nike elite coach there (I forgot who the athlete he was there with, someone notable). He commented that it was one of the nicest tracks in the US, only surpassed he thought by the one at HQ in Oregon.
