I'm gathering from how you and Fletch have responded to running long races that I should just stick to one gentle run on the grass each week?

I remember deciding a few years ago that I wasn't going to do any races longer than a half marathon again. I wish I had remembered that earlier, but I guess that is another thing that goes with old age.

Just broken.
And doing nothing seems to be making me worse, but has still not motivated me to do anything.

I've noticed the same with me over the last 3 weeks, so much more stiff and achey when I exercise less.

Coming from the longest Achilles injury in living memory... :-)
Simmo and Duncan I have memories of having injuries from when they were about our age! But I do recall Simmo sensibly overcoming his.
