Can I be in your group? You have the best club name in the list. I live in Cock(atoo)eysville, Maryland...seems close enough. Actually I'm just trying to figure out the rules of who can join what groups. Can the administrator kick my ass out if he wants? Can I be dragged into a group without being asked? If I'm booted out, what will happen to my posts in this thread?

good question, some groups have passwords but this is an open group which means that anyone can sign up. You may get booted out though...

this is a pretty exclusive group. only the best can join. we came last in the Australia National Orienteering League this year.

Well, I was DFL in the WC Middle at Oringen this year - made an error longer than the winning time. I've also MP'ed two years in a row at the US Sprint Series finals. I do have a decent lifetime record at the QOC Beer Chase...the only annual, sanctioned beer-O in the States (gold star for perfect attendance). One time I even downed a cup faster than Pam James to win - no small feat! Sadly, thats still the highlight of my O career.

I have a soft spot in my heart for Mt Stromlo and Siding Spring. Really sad to see the facility burned up a few years ago. I never had the chance to go.
